George Painter Jr.

George Junior Painter, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family in Sonora, CA. He was born on June 6, 1946, in Los Banos, CA. George was a Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He served in The United States Army and worked as an Auto Body Technician for 30 years. He was known for his quick wit, loyal friendships, and loved building and painting custom cars. Some of his happiest moments were hunting on his cousin Russell's ranch with family and friends and fishing the Stanislaus River. George "Junior" is preceded in death by his Wife of 47 Years Eldoris Joan Painter, parents George and Verna Painter and his sister Sonja and brother George Edward. He is survived by his sisters Jean, Shirley, Georgie and brother John, daughter Marie, son Chad, daughter-in-law Penny, grandson Jonathon, granddaughter Lindsey and great granddaughter Isla. Per his request there will be no services; however, at a later date, there will be a private family Celebration of Life. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. [more]
