Dennis Pinta

Dennis Raymond Pinta, age 70, died January 11, 2025, at Israel Family Hospice in Ames. The celebration of life gathering will be from 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames. Dennis was born October 4, 1954, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Evertte and Bertha Mehle Pinta. He served in the United States Army where he retired on September 9, 1989. He married Renate Schnepf. The couple lived in Huxley, after living in Baton Rouge, LA for 19 years. Dennis also worked at Firestone for over 10 years. Dennis enjoyed riding his Harley trike, going camping, boating and being with his family. Dennis is survived by his wife, Renate Pinta, his children, Claudia (Thomas) Jacob, Cindy Danos (Ron Hood), David (Beverly) Rhoden, Jennifer Schultz, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings, Russell (Sandy) Pinta, David (Allie) Pinta, Virginia Seliger, Rhonda (Lynn) Deaton.
