ith his friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his faithful wife of 13 years, Charmaine Christensen (Robinson) whom he lovingly called "Char". He also enjoyed going to the gym, listening to jazz, playing chess, and recently picked up the past times of fishing and playing golf. He enjoyed taking his family and friends out to eat and picking up the tab. His favorite store was the Lakeside Emporium because they sold all his favorite childhood snacks and candies. John had a very special bond with his granddaughter Nevaeh. He looked forward to her following in his footsteps and attending Grand Valley State University. He was a philanthropist that donated often to various community organizations around town. SURVIVORS John leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Charmaine Robinson; (2) sons, John Robinson Jr of Elma, MI and Stephen Robinson of Battle Creek, MI; (3) daughters, Grace Carey of Muskegon, MI, Jennifer (Edmund) Etimani of Salt Lake City, Utah and Ebony Robinson of Muskegon, MI; (3) sisters Linda Ruth Johnson, Diane Williams, and Dorothy Harmon, all of Muskegon, MI; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. John was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Fortner, brother, Harvey Reedy, sisters, Catherine Jackson, and Brenda Robinson; stepfather, Wiley Fortner; and great-granddaughter, Myah Robertson.
