Illinois City United Methodist Church where she played piano. She loved spending time in her garden and was a member of the Muscatine Master Gardeners. She made and sold her baked goods at the Muscatine Farmers market where she was known as "the bread lady". She also loved to sew and make quilts. Those left to honor her memory include a brother Bernard Resch (MaryAnn) of Mauston, Wisconsin, and sister Karen (John) Brakefield of Missoula, Montana; one son, James B. Siegenthaler of Illinois City; two daughters, Cindy Trevarthen and her husband, Robert; Christine Sample and her husband, Scott, all of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Aaron Call, Michele Call, Candice (Sample) Whitmer, and James M. Siegenthaler; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Whitmer and Jocelyn Mendoza. She was also survived by nieces and nephews Sharon Resch Menard, Robert Resch, Sue Resch Goyette and Jill Brakefield Meyer. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband Lyle.
