Sarah J. Woolsey, 77, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. Sarah was born on March 13, 1948, in Washington, Indiana, to Helen (Grannan) Michaels and Frank Michaels. Sarah devoted more than 50 years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit touched countless lives throughout her long and meaningful career. Nursing was more than her profession, it was her calling. Outside of her work, Sarah found joy in painting and gardening, especially tending to her beloved roses. She also had a deep love for her dogs and took great pride in caring for them, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. She is survived by her loving siblings, Jane Norris; Patricia (Mike) Jones; Rosemary (Ken) Shores; Frank Michaels (John Dawson); and Fred (Sue) Michaels, along with several cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Woods, and her brothers-in-law, Don Norris and Alvin R. Woods, and her husband Roy Woolsey.
