Kathleen Ann "Kathy" (Resch) Pesl, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at her Antigo, WI, home under the loving care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 81 years old. She was born on May 17, 1943, in Antigo, a daughter of Roy and Viola (Gallenberg) Resch. Kathy was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1961 and attended Langlade Teacher College. She married Al Steagall in 1963, and together they had 6 children. Kathy married Richard Pesl on August 19, 1989, in Antigo. She was a loving mother to 6 children and grandmother to 8 grandchildren. Kathy believed wholeheartedly in God and faithfully attended Mass throughout her life and prayed the rosary daily. Kathy was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing card, board, and word games and spending time with her children. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, and watching the snowfall. Kathy was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved listening to music throughout the day. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. squite, NV, Jill (Geno) Calcagno of St. Charles, IL, Jennifer Steagall of St. Charles, IL, and Jason (Jill) Steagall of Denver, CO; two step-daughters, Tracy Pesl and Pamela Pesl; eight grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Kapral, Anthony and Quinn Calcagno, Michelle and Alyssa Steagall, Eric and Sierra Steagall; two step-grandchildren, Nikolaus and Hallee Pesl; and siblings, Gail Wickham of Antigo, Pete (Shelly) Resch of Deerbrook, and Bill Resch of Antigo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Mary and brother John in infancy; a brother-in-law, John Wickham; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Resch. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Kamal Gopu officiating. Entombment will follow at the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and on Saturday, February 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Hoffmann Hall. A parish wake service will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
