Linda Burrell

Linda Lou Burrell was born on her grandparents' farm in Allendale, Missouri on November 28, 1943. She was the daughter of John and Ethel (Thompson) Burrell. Linda grew up in Davis City, Iowa. She graduated from Leon High School (Central Community) in 1962. Linda was a gifted student and an avid softball player. She married Anthony R. Rohde and had two children, where they raised them in Beaverdale. Linda was a homemaker and provided for her family while at home. Linda rejoined the workforce and started a new career at Northwest Community Hospital, working in admissions. After many career changes, Linda found joy in working with the elderly. She finished her career at Wesley Life-The Village in Indianola. Linda moved from Beaverdale to rural Indianola where she enjoyed many years living in a home on an acreage. After Linda retired in 2021, she moved back to her hometown of Davis City. Linda loved spending time outside and watching the wildlife near her acreage. the chance to say so. Linda passed away on December 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Ben Redman. Left to cherish her dear memory are her children, Andrea "Nicki" Atwood and Anthony(Debbie) Shane Rohde; grandchildren, Grant (Cady) Atwood, Emma Atwood, Blake(Carly) Rohde, Zach (Monica) Rohde; siblings, Sharon (Larry) Long and John (Cathy)Burrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
