mp prior to moving to the Wilton area in 1939. He then proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He served with the 20th Armored Division in Germany at the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp. He later farmed in Cedar County, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church in Wilton, the Wilton American Legion Post #584 and the Cedar County Farm Bureau. He served on the board of directors of the Cedar County Farm Service for many years and was also an FHA advisor. In 1958, he was the Cedar County Master Swine Producer. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Clarice Glenney, of Wilton; three sons, Ross and his wife, Brenda, Glenney of Durant, and Ted and Bob Glenney, both of Wilton; his brother, Merle and his wife, Mildred, Glenney of Muscatine; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Thelma Kiser; and four brothers, Paul, Carroll, Charles and Donald Glenney.
