Connie Jean Struck

Connie Jean Struck was born on July 14, 1953, in Austin, Minnesota to Nordeen James and Betty Jeane (Granle) Gilbertson. She received her education in the Hayfield Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1972. She then went on to attend Faribault Technical School. On June 23, 1973, Connie was united in marriage to Dale Marvin Struck at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, Minnesota. After marriage, they made their home in Windom where they raised their four sons, Jeremy, Jared, Josh and Jordan. A few years after marriage, Connie ran her own daycare. She then was the Nursing Services Secretary/Receptionist for thirty-four years at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom. Connie loved her job and especially enjoyed her co-workers and residents. Connie was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom and also served on the Big Buddies Board of Directors for six years. Connie's enjoyments included going to garage sales, Karz -n- Trux, and her family, especially her grandchildren. Connie is survived by her husband of forty-years, Dale Struck of Windom; four sons, Jeremy (Kari) Struck of Brownsdale; Jared Struck of Richmond, VA; Josh Struck of Windom; Jordan (Amanda) Struck of Eden Prairie; six grandchildren, Kaila, Olivia, Jackson, Chayton, Ember and Maci; mother, Betty Gilbertson of Jackson; three siblings, Ronnie Gilbertson of Hayfield; Donnie (Kathy) Gilbertson of Byron; Bonnie Ehmke of Hayfield; special friend, Dale Eigenberg of Windom; and several nieces and nephews. Connie is preceded in death by her father, Nordeen; grandparents, Anton and Elsie Granle, and Eddie and Clara Gilbertson; and nephew, Jacob Ehmke. Blessed be the memory of Connie Struck.
